    The Value of Camping Ministry

Camping ministry has had a tremendous impact on the faith journey of our children. They have enjoyed summer camps with friends their own age, annual family camping experiences, and also, as teens, working on staff. Over many years, camping experiences have allowed them to solidify their faith. They’ve been invited to consider the big questions in life in fun-filled, healthy environments. Of all the faith-oriented opportunities that parents can give their kids, I would place camping experiences very high on the list for life long impact.

  • "As a camper, camp provided me with a sense of security, an opportunity to develop life-long friendships, and a chance to explore who I hoped I could be. As a staff member, working at the camp allowed me to experience community, to give back to other campers, and to work in the name of something greater than myself."

"... I would be curious to know what became of the thousands whose lives were changed because of camp… I have to believe, and I really do, that the world is a different place because of it; better for it. … you need to know it comes from my heart of hearts. I know I would not be the person I am today had I not been touched in a significant way by camp."
